Laurette Jean is a Program Manager in Broward County with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Laurette began her career with the County in 2009 as a Budget and Management Analyst. Prior to joining Broward County, she worked with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) as a Government Analyst for the Domestic Security Task Force where she conducted criminal analysis and managed regional grant programs. In her current capacity, Laurette is involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of the county’s $4.2 billion dollar budget. She also manages OMB’s internal consulting services program which provides analytical services such as fee studies, performance measurement coaching, and lean process improvement studies to county agencies.
Laurette is an active member of the Florida Government Finance Officers Association and Florida City and County Management Association. She earned her master’s degree in public administration from Nova Southeastern University and also holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Florida International University.
