Bill serves as the Emergency Management Section Manager for Disaster Recovery, Mitigation, and Logistics Broward Emergency Management Division. He is responsible for emergency planning and intergovernmental coordination of public safety programs for BEMD. He is also responsible for developing policy, planning, coordinating, and implementing operational sections and functions of the emergency management program.
Bill has worked in emergency management for more than 15 years at the local, state and federal levels. Prior to coming to Broward EMD, Bill was the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Manager for Orange County Public Schools (Orlando, FL). He has worked as a Disaster Recovery and Emergency Management Planning consultant throughout the country on more than a dozen federally declared disasters throughout the U.S. In Florida, Bill has worked as a part of disaster recovery for the 2004 – 2005 hurricanes and was the State Public Assistance Officer for Hurricane Debbie (2012). Bill also supported the response and recovery of the states of New Jersey and New York for Super Storm Sandy.
Bill is a member of an active member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA).
